Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of Bleepia (the service). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About Bleepia

Bleepia is a notification service that lets you follow authors and receive an alert when they release a new book. Book and author information is sourced from third-party services such as Google Books.

2. Your account

You must provide accurate information when you register and keep your password secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country to use the service.

3. Email and push alerts

Alerts about new releases are opt-in. You choose whether to receive them when you sign up, and you can turn them off at any time from your account or using the unsubscribe link in any alert.

We only send alerts for authors you have chosen to follow.

4. Affiliate links

Bleepia is reader-supported. Some links to books are affiliate links (for example through the Amazon Associates programme), which means we may earn a small commission if you buy through them, at no extra cost to you.

We always show a plain, non-affiliate link alongside the affiliate one, so the choice is yours.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including attempting to disrupt it, access it in an unauthorised way, or use it to break the law or infringe the rights of others.

6. Third-party data

Author and book data is provided by third parties and may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. We do our best to detect new releases promptly but cannot guarantee that every release is captured or that every alert is timely.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the service available but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

8. Intellectual property

The Bleepia name, branding, and the service itself are owned by us. Book and author details belong to their respective owners and providers.

9. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for missed alerts or purchasing decisions you make based on the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make significant changes we will let you know, and continued use of the service means you accept the updated terms.

11. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
